New Hi-Res LED Screen is Taking Eldora Fan Experience to The Next Level

Ohio, USA, June 21, 2023 – LED3 has completed the installation of a brighter, higher resolution display for the Eldora Speedway in New Weston, Ohio. This display, which includes over 2 million pixels, was manufactured and engineered by Dakco, with specifications from LED3 and installed by Brian Barry and the team from LED3.

Background Information

Eldora Speedway, a front-runner in motorsports growth and stability, hosts the biggest events in short-track auto racing. Their previous screen, a P25 display, was installed in their racetrack ten years ago. Keeping the Eldora fan experience as a high priority, they reached out to our client LED3 (Ohio based) and decided to upgrade to a Dakco P10 DIP screen for the facility last fall.

Challenge & Solutions

DIP screens are perfect for outdoor applications as it features in high brightness and reliability. This installation also necessitated a higher refresh rate of at least 3840Hz. This turned out to be the largest single-sided installation ever for Dakco and LED3 and proved to be a challenge for both.

From the cabinets and cabling designs to the quality control on the production process, Dakco ensured the best quality product and on-time delivery.

Brian Barry, LED3 Technical Manager, kept a high level of professionalism throughout the entire process. The installation was well planned and organized from the very beginning, providing a smooth, efficient process, with completion in just under 10 days.
