The LED display project is a huge systematic project. Not only does it require comprehensive plannings in the production process, but also needs to grasp the details for the installation and maintenance, so that the screen can be used for a long time. But in daily life, we often ignore some important issues, for example, the screen is not getting bright enough, or some inner parts have been damaged or even catch fire.
So, what should be paid attention to in the installation and maintenance of large outdoor LED screen?
1. Installation of steel structure
Many factors such as wind load, waterproofing, dustproofing, lightning protection, surrounding population density etc. should be considered in the design of steel structure. At the same time, auxiliary equipment such as power distribution cabinets, air conditioners, axial fans, lighting, etc., as well as maintenance facilities like tracks and ladders, need to be placed in the steel structure.
Therefore, during the implementation, the entire outdoor screen steel structure should come with design drawings with the approval from the government to ensure the reliability and safety of the entire steel structure.
2. Standardize electricity consumption
According to the site temporary electricity specification, the construction site must adopt the standardized power distribution system and leakage protection system.
3. Waterproofing and moisture-proofing
Outdoor LED display screens are often exposed to the strong sunlight and heavy rain, strong wind and dust. Once the electronic part is wet or seriously damp, it will cause short-circuit and breakdowns, and even fire. Therefore, the screen, as well as the joints of the screen and the building, must first be strictly waterproof and leak-proof; secondly, the screen has to come with good drainage measures, so that the water can be discharged smoothly if any.
4. Ventilation and heat dissipation
When the outdoor LED display works, it will generate a large amount of heat. If the ambient temperature is too high and the heat dissipation is not good, the integrated circuit may not work properly, or even be burned, resulting in abnormal display.
Ventilation equipment discharges heat, so that the internal temperature of the screen is stabilized at -10 ℃ ~ 40 ℃. In addition, the selection of high-quality industrial-grade integrated circuit chips can effectively prevent the system from being unable to start due to low temperature.
5. Lightning protection grounding
Outdoor LED displays will also be attacked by strong currents and strong magnetism caused by lightning, which requires good grounding measures for the LED screen and casing, and the grounding resistance is less than 3 ohms. In order to release the large currents in time and reduce the overvoltage on the equipment, lightning protection devices should usually be installed on the display screen and buildings.
6. Choose the appropriate power distribution cabinet
LED outdoor displays are generally powered by AC220V current, requiring voltage fluctuation less than 10%, and providing good system grounding. For the display with electric power exceeding 10kW, a special power distribution cabinet should be equipped.
7. Safety education
Safety helmets, safety belts and safety nets are the three magic weapons to reduce accident rates. On the construction site, all personnel present must wear safety helmets. The importance of safety education cannot be overemphasized.
